The National Association of Reproductive and Child Health of India is a non-profit voluntary organization with its official secretariat at Kolkatta, West Bengal, founded in 1975 by Dr. CS Dawn. It has 30 branches all over India and members who are respected professionals, primarily faculty and post-graduates of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics. NARCHI promotes Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) by Promoting Family Planning and Sterilization Programmes, Promoting Breastfeeding by WHO norms and infant immunization, and Promoting Zero Maternal Death practices.
The NARCHI Delhi branch office is currently held by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Lady Harding Medical College & SSK Hospital, New Delhi for a period of two years 2022-2024. NARCHI Delhi has more than 1500+ members in Delhi & NCR who strive hard to work towards the betterment of mother and child health. The aim is to reach out to those who are not usually part of the mainstream by conducting camps, public forums, and CMEs across Delhi.
The current office of NARCHI-Delhi has done a lot of community work on anemia eradication, respectful maternity care, stillbirth prevention, and cancer prevention in its tenure which is ongoing (2022-2024).
